Wherry Housing Association is committed to providing aids and adaptations to the homes of residents who are disabled, vulnerable or who have mobility needs, so they can live safely and independently for as long as it is possible and appropriate.
Wherry Care Service is Wherry Housing Associations Adaptations service.
If you require a minor adaptations, for example a hand rail to be fitted or lever taps on your wash hand basin, we will usually be able to undertake that work directly – please contact our Customer Services Team on 0800 694 0165 or alternatively you can complete the application on this page or email direct to wherrycare@circleanglia.org
For more significant adaptations we must have an Occupational Therapist’s detailed assessment to confirm the resident’s needs, please contact us for more information on how to apply for an assessment from social services, this will involve completing a self referral form. If any resident requires assistance in completing the self referral form we are happy to arrange this with you.
In order for works to be undertaken most residents will require a Disabled Facilities Grant from the Local Authority to pay for the works, either staff from the local authority or staff from the Wherry Care team will be pleased to provide help with the forms.
