Greening The Box
A pilot social housing scheme that points the way forward for energy efficient refurbishment.
If the UK is to hit its demanding CO2 targets, housing (which contributes to 25% of our emissions) needs to be overhauled – and fast. This is a particular issue for social housing landlords and their tenants, who will find it more difficult than most to fund the upgrading required. However an intelligent approach to refurbishment, coupled with innovative finance, could provide the solution.
