Grounds Maintenance

Last modified 23/02/10 at 14:35

We call any communal land we own 'amenity areas'. These can include grass verges, open land with grass, shrubs, hedges and trees, communal gardens around blocks of flats, hard surface areas and semi-wild areas.

We employ specialist contractors to work in these areas. The contract includes:

  • Grass cutting
  • Hedge cutting
  • Tree inspection and pruning;
  • Maintaining and pruning shrub beds;
  • Weed treatment of hard surfaces.
  • Maintaining play areas.

You can find details of our standards for grounds maintenance in our leaflet 'Outside your Home' (715 KB).

We also employ gardeners in our sheltered schemes to ensure that the communal gardens are kept neat, tidy and attractive.
