An introduction to Resident Involvement

Last modified 08/04/10 at 17:52

Consultation Without a doubt it makes sense to involve you, the residents, in decisions that affect you. What does this mean in practice?

The Roddons team is looking for more than just comments on plans - we need you to sit at the table and join us in planning and decisions.

In the last year residents were involved in many key decisions affecting your housing association. For example, residents were at the centre of the process in appointing our repairs partner, Apollo, and designing the services.

You’ve also been part of working out how you want the DLO to do repairs and set the quality standards that they will be tested upon.

The casual and active database has grown and it's membership is currently around 350 residents. Brenda Reynolds, a Roddons resident is the Chair of the Board at Roddons, and say's keep talking to us, to Brenda, to members of Associations, TAG's, Chatting Cafes and fill in the surveys.

Don't forget your Neighbourhood Officer is always around for you to talk to or you can join one of their estate inspections. Take a look at the neighbourhood teams pages for more information.

In addition, we do welcome complaints as it helps us to make things better. Please don’t forget we love to hear when we’re getting it right too. We are listening to you and are working on more ways to involve residents. For ways of getting involved, please see our resident involvement pages.
In particular our Commitment to Resident Involvement page with the link to more information of how and what you can get involved in.

In the 2007 Status survey we got an 82% overall satisfaction rating which is second highest in the Circle Anglia group. However the closer it gets to 100% the happier the Roddons team will be.

If you’re happy, we’re happy.
