Community development at Old Ford
Old Ford Community Development Team runs a wide range of projects and community facilities across Bow in East London. We are committed to providing opportunities that empower our residents and the wider community through the delivery of high quality activities.
We work in three main areas:
- Community Facilities
- Training, Employment and Enterprise
- Delivering the Youth Contract for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
We also oversee resident involvement.
We recognise that regenerating disadvantaged neighbourhoods is more then bricks and mortar and that local people are a vital part of this process, hence residents lead on a number of activities and play an important role as Board members.
The Community Development team is well resourced with a dedicated staff of 30 people (21 full time/9 part time) that bring with them a breadth and depth of skills, knowledge and experience from which the local community and our partner organisations draw on.
