Home ownership

Last modified 08/05/09 at 15:39

Circle Anglia is committed to increasing the opportunities of people in social housing to access home ownership. We currently operate three purchase incentive schemes which enable tenants to purchase the property they currently rent at a discount. In light of the current developments in the property market we wanted to remind you of the routes to affordable homeownership open to tenants.

For the above schemes in order to qualify you must have had a secure or assured tenancy for a minimum period of two years (or five years if tenancy started after 18th January 2005) and your property will be required to be self contained and your main or only home.

You may be able to buy your home jointly with members of your family who have lived with you for twelve months prior to your application or with someone is a joint tenant with you.

You cannot buy your property if you are an undischarged bankrupt, have a bankruptcy petition pending against you, or have made arrangements with creditors and still owe them money.

If you have any queries or would like to request an application pack please call the Commercial and Leasehold team:
